Konohagakure Missions

Like any village, Konohagakure takes on its share of missions. From internal affairs to mercenary work, the range of tasks that could be assigned to a shinobi know nearly no bounds. Taking on missions is how a village prospers in times of peace, building their strength, forces, and defenses for the next inevitable Great War. The missions are also a way to keep a shinobi’s skills sharp. Using their abilities in different ways ultimately makes soldiers stronger. All members of the village are urged to help out in any way they can. Whether it is a simply farming mission or an assassination of an important political figure, any job assigned by the village will ultimately bring fame and fortune to the village of the leaf.

All shinobi can find many of the village's missions posted upon a grand bulletin board within the Kage Tower. Simply take one down that interests you and hand it to the Kage Assistant working at the desk, but make sure you qualify for it first. Some missions need to be completed multiple times or are broken up into different parts depending on the nature of the task. Unless you are giving explicit permission, please only take one mission at a time to avoid taking away opportunities from others who may want to participate.

[Restrictions]

D ranked missions are assigned to genin fresh from the Academy. They pose almost no risk to the ninja's life and usually consist of odd jobs like farming and babysitting work. The reward for a D-rank mission is 5 chakra and 10 Health.
C ranked missions are assigned to more experienced genin or chūnin. They are missions anticipated to have some combat involved with the possibility of injury to the shinobi performing it. Examples are guarding people, background investigations, or capturing or suppressing wild animals. The reward for a C-rank mission is 15 Chakra and 30 Health.
B-rank missions are assigned to experienced chūnin. They are missions anticipated to involve combat with other ninja. Examples are guarding people, espionage, or killing other ninja. The reward for a B-rank mission is 45 Chakra and 90 Health.
A-rank missions are assigned to jōnin, concerning, among other things, village-or state-level matters and trends. Examples are guarding VIPs or suppressing ninja forces. The reward for an A-rank mission is 135 Chakra and 270 Health.
S-rank - assigned to experienced jōnin and concern state-level confidential matters. Examples are assassinating VIPs, and transporting highly classified documents. The reward for an S-rank mission is 405 Chakra and 810 Health.
Please complete all missions in a timely fashion. All missions unless otherwise approved must be completed in two weeks OOC time. Any longer and your reward may be docked or you may be taken off of the assignment all together.
Missions are subject to change at the Kage’s discretion. Please respect their decisions.
Please assert some effort when writing. Missions will require multiple posts, and are expected to be an adequate length. Generally, 3-5 paragraphs are needed per post depending on the quality and content and paragraph length.
If the missions is not properly done, the Hokage, reserves the right to decrease the reward to see fit with admin approval.
Teamwork is encouraged and in some cases required on a mission. Please respect each other and the assigned IIC. If for some reason you need to drop out or are having problems with your teammates, please feel free to PM the current Kage so something can be worked out.

D Rank Missions

Name: Supply Requisition (Wood)
Rank: D
Description: Because of the surge in building activity within the village, the store houses that keep building supplies are running low. Your job is to purchase the replacement materials and escort the delivery crew to the village. Since the land of grass is abundant in wood, you simply need to travel to the Capital City in Kanohagakure no Sato in order to gain the supplies.
Objective: Travel to the Leaf City Capital and accompany the new shipment of wood back to the village.
Name: The New Generation

Description: The first day of Konohagakure's shinobi academy is underway and due to the influx of students with the lack of academy staff, petitions have been put out for active shinobi to help with grouping the new students and helping them navigate the hallways and grounds of the Academy.
Objective: Assist with organizing new academy students and help with initial orientation.
Name: Apollo the not so Magnificent!

Description: The Great Magician Apollo has arrived in Konohagakure to perform a show! Because his assistant has fallen ill, he requires help from a local ninja to act as his helper during the act. A note from his assistant is inclosed. Dearest Ninja, if by some bizarre reason you decide to assist my blundering employer, be advised that none of his magic is his own. He relied on my skills as a genjutsu user to fool crowds into believing his magic. Being able to use three illusions to entertain a crowd is all he requires. Be creative and please help him succeed!
Objective: Help the great magician perform a spectacular show by helping him perform 3 mystifying illusions.
Name: Just My Luck

Description: A great gambler has rolled into Konohagakure, claiming to have never been defeated in a wager. Much to the dismay of a casino owner, his claims seem to be warranted. Cleaning out the house and challengers alike, the owner of the casino has hired a lucky ninja from the village to defeat this menace once and for all. Be advised, he might not play fair.
Objective: Without cheating, defeat the man at three different gambling games. 1 hand of Poker and 1 hand of black jack will be dealt, and a simple roll of the dice will determine the winner. In order to count this mission, he must be defeated at all three games.
Name: Here Kitty Kitty

Description: The token crazy cat lady of Konohagakure believes that a few of her cats have been kidnapped! She has sent a bulletin to the ninja of the village to help bring her pets back and deliver swift justice on the perpetrator. However, enclosed in the envelope was a note from the woman’s house keeper. I’ve checked, counted and re-counted. All of the cats are here. If you just bring 5 cats from the streets and tell a tale of your heroic triumph over the bandits, you will be rewarded!
Objective: Wrangle up 5 feral cats from the streets and deliver them to the womans home. Then tell a convincing story of how you “rescued” her babies.
Name: Temporary Employment

Description: A common lower ranked mission, one of the many business owners of Konohagakure has hit a shortage of employees. Often relying on the genin of the village to fill in, they pay high wages for such short notice help. This request comes from the owner of a tea shop who had a waitress fall ill the day before. He requires someone to fill in taking orders and pouring tea!
Objective: Take 5 orders and fill them correctly.
Name: Guiding Youth
Rank: D
Description: Konjo Teruo is a student of Konohagakure's shinobi academy and is generally an average student, but his complete lack of tactical and survival skill prevents him from graduating. He is becoming depressed as this is the fourth time he has failed and all of his friends are ninja while he is not. The Aacademy instructors are at their wits end trying to help this boy, but all their attempts have failed. Finally, Teruo's parents put in a request to the village shinobi to take him out into the field and give him a more realistic dose of what it means to survive.
Objective: Help Teruo improve his tactical and survival training
Name: Bully Bashing
Rank: D
Description: A wealthy family living just outside of Konohagakure has a son experiencing problems with his peers. Bullies come out daily to torment the boy and make countless attempts to mug him for any money or valuables as he may possess. Instead of bringing shame upon the family by flaunting its wealth, the boy elects to take up arms and learn how to defend himself. The father approves of this and has put in an official request for a Konohagakure ninja to teach his son how to defend himself.
Objective: Give the client's son some rudimentary training in self-defense

C Rank Missions

Description: Because of the surge in building activity within the village, the store houses that keep building supplies are running low. Your job is to purchase the replacement materials and escort the delivery crew to the village. Your assignment is to travel to the Earth Capital and requisition a shipment of stone blocks. Once you have placed the order, accompany the delivery crew back to the village to ensure a safe delivery.
Objective: Travel to the Earth Capital and accompany a new shipment of stone blocks back to the village.

Once you have placed the order, accompany the delivery crew back to the village to ensure a safe delivery.
Objective: Travel to the Wind Capital and accompany a new shipment of glass sheets back to the village.
Name: Behind Closed Doors

Description: For several weeks complaints have been reported to village authorities of an elderly man peeking into the woman's bathing house and causing discomfort among the women of the community. So far no leads have been found as to the identify of the man and village police are requesting assistance of a Konohagakure shinobi to help in the investigation. The last known peeking incident was at the "Divine Springs" bath-house in the northeast section of the village.
Objective: Find the pervert that has been peeping in the woman's bath house and bring him before the tower for punishment.
Name: Guard Duty
Rank: C
Description: Help the Jounin guarding the gates of Konoha.
Hint: The mission may be cut short if an incident arises.
Name: Border Patrol
Rank: C
Description: The Hokage wishes for the borders of the Fire Country to be patrolled. A team of two to three (2-3) ninja are to patrol the border between the Fire Country and any of the other countries.
Objective: The team of ninja must travel to the border and patrol up and down the border for three days before reporting back to the Leaf Village.
Name: Green's Anatomy

Description: Many budding medical shinobi are in the service of Konohagakure, and the hospital is understaffed. Hired by the medical staff at the Hospital, shinobi are to give their time in the clinic, training and using their medical abilities to help those in need. Available for new comers and advanced medics alike, this mission rewards those who complete their tasks depending on their abilities.
Objective: Train a medical jutsu successfully. B rank jutsu and lower are classified as C rank mission, A and S rank jutsu are classified as B rank mission.
Name: Delivery
Rank: C
Description & Objective: A letter regarding imports of weaponry needs to be delivered from the village hidden in the grass to the Water city capitals item shop. Under normal circumstances, an average messenger would be sent. However, the last messenger sent was jumped and the information was stolen. Now, a shinobi had to do the job. Deliver the message to the Water city capital item shop. If you run into trouble, take care of it. Make it back safely.

Description & Objective: Recently, 3 miners in the fire country have become victims of a cave-in. Only one miner was able to escape, and upon his arrival back in the village, he explained the situation to the Hokage. Apparently the cave that they were excavating has become very unstable. That being said, time is a big factor. Get into the cave and rescue the 2 remaining miners. Safely bring them to the hospital in fire country.
Name: Cash-in-Corpses

Description & Objective: Two different graveyards have been getting vandalized by unknown offenders in the past couple of weeks. Officials suspect suspicious activities and assume that there are graverobbers present. No single Genin can take on this task unless escourted by a teammate(s) or a Chuunin. Find out what's going on and stop the problem.

My husband met his end in the swamps of the Water country, but his wedding ring was never found. Perhaps this is why he cannot find his way? Someone, please recover it!

Name: Shipping Out

Description: The following letter was received. We’re up to our ears in shipping orders. It’s getting so bad, I’ve even thought about taking on shinobi! As it is, the freight keeps piling up and we don’t have enough hands to keep it moving. If you arent afraid of a little hard work, we’ve got a job for you!
Objective: Deliver a wagon full of goods from the Land of Fire to the Land of Water.

Description: The following letter was received. I need someone to catch these really rare fire ants for me. There supposed to be different colors than other antlions. I’ve never seen them myself, but they’re supposed to live in a forest near my home. Please collect three of them for me so I can complete my school project.
Objective: Find 3 Fire Ants.
Name: Rebellious Teens
Rank: C
Description: A middle-class single father residing in Konohagakure's southern residential district is having troubles with his daughter and her rebel attitude. Night after night he is having troubles keeping her in the home and he always finds her gone in the middle of the night. The man is unsure of what his daughter is up to but he is concerned for his daughter's safety and Chastity. He has put in a request to the Konohagakure ninja to track his daughter down and inform him of what she's up to.
Objective: Follow the client's daughter and gather intelligence of her activities, then report back to the client.
Name: Sinful Pleasures
Rank: C
Description: Asukai Kei is a hard working, middle classed man working two jobs to support his household and provide for his high-maintenance wife. However, due to his constant absence at work, some of his friends are telling him of the worst news possible for a married man; his wife is having an affair. For this Kei put in a request to the Konohagakure ninja to spy on his wife and inform him of the truth.
Objective: Gather information for the client about his wife whom he suspects is cheating on him

B Rank Missions

Once you have placed the order, accompany the delivery crew back to the village to ensure a safe delivery.
Objective: Travel to the Lightning Capital and accompany a new shipment of metal ore back to the village.
Name: The Bored Magistrate

Description & Objective: A magistrate of the Fire Country feels nothing new is happening in the Country. As a result, he is calling on 2-4 talented fire shinobi to showcase their talents in a battle royal in the courtyard of his palace. Put on a spectacular show for the man. DO NOT KILL EACH OTHER but incapacitate the others. Remember it is a show more so than a battle.

Description: Two local street gangs native to Konoha have been rivals and warring with each other for several years. However, just recently, their bitter violence towards each other has reached a critical point where innocent lives are now caught in the crossfire. Such behavior cannot be tolerated and it has been decreed by the Feudal Lord of Konohagakure's Capital these two gangs be silenced once and for all. Their last known location was just outside the outskirts of Konoha.

Name: Bad Business

Description: Two large corporations by the names of Shirokiya and Mitsukoshi are both major distributors of general goods in Konoha's Capital. However, they seem to have formed a partnership with each other, combining their bargains and making it much more difficult on the smaller businesses within the city. Many are shutting down due to the lack of revenue. Unfortunately, the mayor of the capital is unable to do anything about this legally but would still like to see something done about both of the corporate businesses. His advisors sent private requests to Konohagakure for a team, or multiple teams, of shinobi to pass bad information between the two businesses and break up the partnership.
Objective: Start a war between the two opposing business factions
Name: Headband Harvest

Description: In an effort to increase the espionage potential of the village, the council has issued a reward for any headbands turned in to the atrium assistant.
Objective: Collect and turn in headbands.
Name: Locations
Rank: B
Description: To expand the horizons of the Konohagakure ninja and AnBu, the Kage is looking for the locations of any and all villages to record on a local map, this map will hold the key locations of hidden villages excluding leaf so that when required Konohanin may know where such villages are.
Objective: You must know and then record the location of a hidden village on the map in the Hokages office, if you do so you may record any location on the map to your own
Name: Body Harvest [Normal]
Rank: B
Description: Despite the desperate need for bodies unharmed and with unique abilities, the facility is also after normal bodies in decent conditions for experiments, research and general practice for young physicians in the making.
Objective: Obtain the corpse of a warrior or civilian in good condition for use in the facility.
Name: Body Harvest [Bloodlimit]
Rank: B
Description: With the newly reopened clan and bloodlimit Research Facility low on information, the facility is opening its doors to corpses with special abilites, including rituals and bloodlimits. These bodies must be in excellent condition in order for extensive research to occur, so shinobi should keep this in mind while in combat.
Objective: Obtain the corpse of a warrior with unique abilities not yet documented by the facility. Inflict minimal physical harm to the body in order to allow the autopsy to be performed smoothly.

A Rank Missions

Name: Death Wish
Rank: A
Description: Kimura Taji is a highly respected member of the Konohagakure community for his long years of servitude as an apothecary. His skills in dealing with herbal poisons and animal toxins are unrivaled by very few and it is those skills that have saved dozens of people from death's embrace. Time is one poison Mr. Kimura is unable to cure and it is pulling him into the blackened abyss. Before he dies, Taji wishes to have his greatest enemy killed and his head brought to him on his death bed. Saionji Botan is responsible for several attempted assassinations and business sabotages against Kimura Taji. The last known location of Saionji Botan was in the northwest countryside of the Land of Fire in a mansion surrounded by approximately one hundred guards.
Objective: Bring the head of Saionji Botan to the bedside of Kimura Taji
Name: Beheading the Dragon
Rank: A
Description: Heike Tsutomu, the C.E.O. of the Shirokiya Corporation, has held a very clean and honorable career dealing with the acquisition and resale of fine art such as paintings, sculptures, statues, and other decoration. Lately, rumor has it, he has fallen from grace and began dealing with illegal arms and weaponry as well as narcotic substances. He has even gone so far as to send men to fetch people from the streets to peddle his wares. For these crimes the man has been deemed worthy of death.
Objective: Travel to the capital and assassinate Heike Tsutomu, head of the Shirokiya Corporation

S Rank Missions

Name: Silenced Heralds
Rank: "S"
Description: In the southern lands of Hi no Kuni's countryside a religious cult has been gathering and causing extreme pain and distress on farming communities not sharing their religious views. The leader of this cult is a woman named Kuga Taree and word has leaked she plans on launching a crusade against Konoha, viewing it as the source of blasphemy of the country. The Hokage of Konoha has sent requests for at least one ninja/team of Konohagakure shinobi to intercept and stop the invasion before they progress too much further.
Objective: Stop the revolt by eliminating the religious leader Kuga Taree
Hint: Kuga is a master of the three sword style and has the byakugan of the elder shinobi long past dead. The hokage wants to know how this is possible and if you can retrieve that byakugan, (Automatically upon extracting the byakugan the eyes will burst into flames and disintegrate to abide by site law)

Event Missions

The rewards for the Event Missions are up to the creator and staff.

Name: Konoha Inauguration Party
Rank: Event
Description: Following the Inauguration of Jojo Kaguya, whom is now Jojo Soren, all those who attended the inauguration were given a chance to come and go to the party which can simply be notified as the after party in many regards.
Objective: Enjoy yourselves and above all else enjoy the punch. This is a party after all and there is cake and ice cream. Your order for this is enjoy yourself.
