Mission Ranks:
In the organised society of the villages, ninja are given missions (任務, ninmu) depending on their rank. The missions are categorized in five ranks, based on the mission's possible danger or level of importance.
D-rank - assigned to genin fresh from the Academy. They pose almost no risk to the ninja's life and usually consist of odd jobs like farming and babysitting work. The reward for a D-rank mission is 5 chakra and 10 Health
C-rank - assigned to more experienced genin or chūnin. They are missions anticipated to have some combat involved with the possibility of injury to the shinobi performing it. Examples are guarding people, background investigations, or capturing or suppressing wild animals. The reward for a C-rank mission is 15 Chakra and 30 Health
B-rank - assigned to experienced chūnin. They are missions anticipated to involve combat with other ninja. Examples are guarding people, espionage, or killing other ninja. The reward for a B-rank mission is 45 Chakra and 90 Health
A-rank - assigned to jōnin, concerning, among other things, village-or state-level matters and trends. Examples are guarding VIPs or suppressing ninja forces. The reward for an A-rank mission is 135 Chakra and 270 Health
S-rank - assigned to experienced jōnin and concern state-level confidential matters. Examples are assassinating VIPs, and transporting highly classified documents. The reward for an S-rank mission is 405 Chakra and 810 Health.
These rewards may change as time goes on.
What Missions Can I Take?
Genin: A Genin may go on a D rank mission by themselves but this is something that is very unlickly. But it is possable. Gennin can also go on C rank mission's in a squad of 3 Genin and a Chuunin and or Jounin. They may also go on a C rank mission with just one Jounin with them. And in some special cases they may do a C rank mission by themselves.
Chuunin: Chuunin are able to go on D rank missions by themselves, and even go on a C rank mission with special permisson by themselves. Chuunin are also able to lead ninja squads of Chuunin and lower. And with a full squad of Chuunin or one Jounin chuunin are able to go on B rank missions.
Jounin: Jounin are able to go on C, and D rank missions by themselves, and may also lead a squad into missions. Jounin are able to go on a B rank misson with one other person of Chuunin or higher, and are capable of doing A rank missions with a full squad.
Anbu and up: Anbu and up are able to do up to B rank missions by themselves and even lead squads on missions. Though for them to do A rank missions they will need atleast one more person of Jounin rank and up to do the mission. And on special cases they are able to do S ranks missions by them selves but most will need a full squad.
