A Sorrowful Melody [Open]

Kagero had just finished with his training for the day. He had come up to the top of the Hokage Monument to have some time for himself. He had brought his acoustic guitar with him. He sat down, took his guitar and began playing a song that sounded sad. The melody reminded him of the time when he was on the battlefield with his loved one. They had just obtained new information from Kumogakure and were about to bring it back to Konoha. It was their last successful mission together.

It was around mid-afternoon. Kagero took a short break and looked up at the sky. The clouds overhead gave the blue sky a nice touch. He looked at one cloud in particular. It was shaped like a raindrop. He muttered to himself "I'll avenge you... Someday...". Kagero took a snack from one of his flak jacket's pouches (he had brought his flak jacket with him this time) and put it in his mouth. As he chewed on the snack, he began playing his guitar once more, with the same sad melody as before. As he played, more memories of the time he and his loved one spent together welled up. He finished up playing his guitar and put it down beside him. Kagero then laid down and gazed up at the sky once more. He wished that there might be another who would understand the pain he had suffered that night so many years ago.

Kagero looked at the genin. He recognized his face from the list of recently graduated ninja. He sat up and looked at Sasuke. "It does. Would you like to hear the story?" Kagero went back to lying down and playing his guitar while looking at the cloudy sky.
