Yaiko Daily Visit Turned Bad (Open)

The sky above the Hokage Monument has gotten dark and the smell of rain filled the air. It wouldn’t be long before the rain hit the cemetery where Yaiko was making his daily visit. Yaiko always came here around the same time to pay his respects to the fallen ninja. He didn’t like to fight but he knew it was a part of life so he pushed himself to the limit so one day he can become a Kage and put an end to all the fighting. People laughed at his dream but he didn’t really care too much. Everyone always made fun of Yaiko for looking different but he enjoys looking different from everyone else. He smoked but really didn’t enjoy it sure he still goes through a pack a day but he hates it. Yaiko walked up to an old stone that seemed to have been there for quite some time.

He sat down and crossed his legs and started talk "How have you been lately... I just made it to Genin today are you proud of me now?" he finished his head in his knees and small tears rolling down his face. Sure he didn’t mind being alone in this world but he wished he had someone to talk to everyday. He heard the sound of voices coming near he already knew who it was it was the group of young kids that came to this place and threw rocks at him. This time it looks like they came earlier to make sure they didn’t miss him. As Yaiko sat there the kids came into eye view and pointed the oldest looking one out of the group yelled "Look guy's their he is crying in the same spot he always is let's get this cry baby!!!" as they had bat's in hand along with a few kid's throwing rocks.

This is what Yaiko hated the most getting beat up. When the kids reached him with the bat's they hit Yaiko over and over again, Yaiko could of defended himself but he didn’t feel the need to as what good would of came out of it. The kids seemed to enjoy them self even though their hit's hurt Yaiko as long as they were not doing this to anyone else he would be ok with it. That's how this started after all this same group of kids was beating a younger kid and teasing him for wanting to become a ninja. He confronted these kids while they were doing so and told them “Why don’t you pick on someone your own size" granted Yaiko was smaller than any of them but he was trying to help the kid getting beat up at the time.

They seemed to hate Yaiko for some unknown reason to him but he figured everyone hated him as no one ever really talked to him. As each hit still came with the force of when they first started Yaiko felt blood coming from his head and now trying to stop the blows from the top of his head he put his hands up blocking where they somehow managed to hurt him. Something was wrong this time from all the other time these kids beat Yaiko up. Their must of been more kids then before or they gotten stronger. He didn’t know what was happening his hands even went numb from the number of hit's on them "Stop!!" But it only seemed to make it hurt worse. He didn’t want to harm any of the kids so he just sat their hoping the beating would stop soon normally it never lasted this long at all.

He saw adult's walking by and when they saw what was happening to him they ran away not even trying to help. That is what Yaiko hated the most out of everyone turning a blind eye to the people that needed help the most. People like them is why Young kid's die by kid's like these though Yaiko could still stand the beating he had no plans to die any time soon. He felt their anger with every blow though they seemed like they were getting just a tiny bit tired.” Hopefully someone comes along to help me” Yaiko said in his head with tears still falling on the ground.

A hooded Shinobi had been sitting in front of two stones that branded the last name of Kitai on them. The shinobi could be heard sniffling but none came to comfort him. A lone flower fell from the Konoha Ninja's hand as he stood up and stared at the stone markers. Crimson hair fell in front of the ninja's face and tears shone across cerulean eyes. This was Kizoku Kitai, orphan, and Konoha Genin. The gravestones were that of his parents, brutally murdered but with no sign of a motive or any trace of who had accomplished the task. The boy's brother left that same day as a Missing-Ninja to find his parent's murderer. But Kizoku was now classified as an adult, he had to be strong, shinobi do not show emotions, no matter how much it plagued them.

A scream could be heard in the graveyard and it made Kizoku jump. His tears now dried, he whipped his head to see another male slightly younger than him getting beat up. This angered the male to no end. This lad was a citizen of Konoha, and yet people were still beating him up. The Hokage would hear about this if he had anything to do with it. Kizoku calmly but quickly walked over to where the beating was taking place and with malice in his voice, he spoke to the bullies,

"Now, what's going on here?" On of the attackers seemed to recognize the genin and stopped in his tracks, fear washed over him. "Guys, it's that Kitai kid, let's get out of here!" But the main attacker did not stop his onslaught, "What, is he going to get his older brother on me?" "Yeah but his older brother is ALLOWED back in the village!" At that point, all the attackers had stopped and the eldest one backed away slowly, "Heh, sorry about your friend there Kitai-san!" And with that, the attackers ran away, leaving a boy shivering and bloody. The genin felt horrible for not being there sooner.

"Hey, you okay?" The Genin would ask as he squatted down for a better view of the boy's face, and it was one he recognized instantly. "Yaiko?!" Now, Kizoku didn't personally know Yaiko since the two were a few years apart, but Kizoku and Yaiko were in the same graduating class and recently had received their headbands. The crimson haired genin quickly pulled out a roll of bandages that he kept in case of emergencies and started to tend to his classmate's wounds.

Having been bored, Kagero had decided to take a walk through the cemetary to visit the grave of his loved one. On his way there, he passed by the 2 Genin. Having overheard everything that had happened and having seen everything that had happened, he walked up to the two. In a cold tone, he said "If you want to talk to someone, I can help. I know what it's like to lose someone dear to you." Kagero walked just a few headstones over and turned towards the headstone on his right. "This is her final resting place..." Tears were now rolling down the Jonin's face. Every time he visited his fiance's grave, it brought back bad memories: memories of them on the battlefield where everything went wrong; memories of her dying in his arms as he attempted to save her.

Kagero walked over to the boys who were beating the new Genin. Kagero gave a single roundhouse kick to the bats, breaking them both. In a cold but sympathetic tone, Kagero said "Leave him alone. He's suffered enough."

As a short time by Yaiko heard another voice asking what the young kids were doing he could since a slight tone of anger in his voice as he heard "Now what's going on here?" He felt most of the beating stop except for one. He figured it was the oldest as they don’t really ever listen to what anyone says’s to them. But as he heard one of the kid's speak “Guys, it's that Kitai kid, let's get out of here!" He knew it was his class mate Kizoku from the academy even though they really didn’t talk to each other. Kizoku's brother's name was thrown out there by the oldest but then he stopped Hitting the young Genin saying sorry to Kizoku and running away. The apology given by the oldest was not a real more of trying to get out of trouble.
He heard his fellow classmate ask if Yaiko was ok as Kizoku pulled out bandages. Yaiko seemed more relaxed and sat up as Kizoku started patching him up. He nodded and in a low voice the Genin said “I’ll live thank you for getting them off of me." A few seconds later the young Genin heard an older voice from behind him "If you want to talk to someone, I can help. I know what it's like to lose someone dear to you." As Yaiko Turned around he saw the Jonin Kagero. He watched the Jonin walk over to a grave stone and tear's rolling down his face. The Genin could not help but feel sorrow for the jonin. He watched the jonin walk over the group of kids who beat Yaiko up, He watched as the jonin brake the bats with a swift round house. The jonin said in a in a cold but sympathetic tone "Leave him alone. He's suffered enough."

The Genin felt the point was made to the kids as they runaway. As they ran away the ground was wet where one of the younger kids were standing. "Thank you Kagero but most ninja know what it's like to lose someone dear to them as for all the war's we been through." The young Genin lightly pushed Kizoku off of him as he felt like most the major wounds were covered. "I'm fine for now Kizoku Thank you again for all your help" Yaiko finished with a faint smile. Yaiko took a breath and stood up but felt light headed He took one step closer to Kagero “And Kagero thank you as will for now those kids’s should leave me alone now I just didn’t want to harm any of them." As he finished his sentence The Genin's eye's got a little bit big as he felt a strong pain from inside his chest. He fell to the ground on one knee holding his chest and started coughing a lot, with each cough blood came up.

The crimson haired Genin was pushed lightly off of the fellow shinobi in the middle of his bandaging. It was just like Yaiko, he liked help but only took a little bit of it. There were still bleeding wounds, but Kizoku could do nothing as he knew the raven would just reject his help. When he was pushed away, his hood fell off of his head, the back of his hair bounced off his neck and settled gently. The Kitai's fellow genin turned and started to talk to a Jonin of Konoha, or at least Kizoku could suspect it was a Jounin. But on closer inspection, Kizoku realized who it was, it was the Taijutsu Swordsman from the Hokage Monument! Small world huh? After a while. Kizoku got a name for the Jounin.

So, his name was Kagero... It had only been a few days after the battle but it seemed so long ago the two were fighting alongside each-other. But the memories were cut short when Yaiko leaned forward and started to cough up massive amounts of blood. The Kitai's reaction was quicker than normal as he fell to his knees and grabbed onto his former classmate's shoulders, trying to keep him stably upright. Kizoku didn't care if the blood got on his clothes or body, he could easily wash it out when he got home. But right now he could not do anything to stop the ejection of blood from Yaiko's body. Kizoku turned his head to Kagero, a little fear could be noticed in his voice,

"Do something!"

Kagero looked away for a bit. "No. They don't know what I feel. I watched her die... I couldn't do anything...". Kagero looked up at the sky, looking for his loved one's favorite cloud. He couldn't find it. He then heard Yaiko drop to the ground, coughing and bleeding. He walked over to the two and said to Kizoku "I'm not a medical ninja. I can't heal him myself." He then turned and looked at Yaiko on the ground. "But if you would like, I'll carry you to the hospital."
